Installation process of essbase version 11 is different from the previous version 9.x. But each component is still a separate file. In order to install Essbase 11, you should first download the following file:

 

How to install ?

When you plan to install essbase, the first file you must understand is the 'Oracle Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management System Installer', unlike version 9.x that each component of essbase is an separate executable file. Each component and file in essbase 11 is not executable and contain only an folder which name is 'assemblies'. These 'assemblies' folders can not be installed by itselves and are used by the installer for installation purpose.

After you extract the file from the 'Oracle Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management System Installer' archived file, you might click the file 'InstallTool.cmd' in order to install essbase. But error appear and you can not continue the installation process, we could find the following error in the log file which reside at the path of 'C:\Documents and Settings\OSusername\Local Settings\Temp', the log file name is 'installTool-install-stdout.log' and contain the following errors:

'Checking if the file exist: D:\installfile\EPM-SystemInstaller-11113\assemblies... Failed!, The folder 'D:\installfile\EPM-SystemInstaller-11113\assemblies' have to exist for successfull installation.'

You 're required to extract at least one component and place the component folder 'assemblies' in the root of the installer folder in order to install. Now we could just unzip the above listed file and place all the 'assemblies' folder into the installer root directory and click 'InstallTool.cmd' to install essbase.

Hi.Thanks for providing this information. But when I install the software, I found I have to install foundation serive, and then install essbase, or else, It will fail. BTW: When I configure the software, it really takes me long time, Is this very normal ?
